Static balancing deals with forces acting in a single plane around the direction of rotation. It is the traditional way to balance motorcycle wheels using a balance stand, but assumes any imbalance occurs centrally on the rim. This is not such a problem when speeds are low and rim widths are small, such as on small & classic machines.
Dynamic balancing additionally ensures balance across the width of the wheel. This becomes more important as rim width and wheel speed increases. This type of imbalance will make the wheel want to wobble side to side while rotating, causing stress on frame bearings & affecting machine stability. Therefore, it is recommended to use dynamic balancing on modern machines that feature wider rims and greater performance.
Operation of the Facep B202 is quick & simple: mounting the wheel & inputting wheel data takes seconds. Then just spin the wheel and the B202 calculates the required weights and position for both sides of the rim.
