GETTING THE MOST FROM OUR DELIVERY SERVICES

 

As with all parcel delivery services, DPD are experiencing an unprecedented level of demand at present. This has been caused by a perfect storm of factors that have increased their volumes, including:

  • Black Friday/Cyber Monday order delivery fulfilments
  • Seasonal Pre-Christmas increases in volume
  • Royal Mail Strikes

While DPD can plan for some of these events, others are beyond their control and the combination is causing a delivery delay in some areas.

At Larsson, we are shipping normally and using DPD’s premium pre-12 midday services for weekday deliveries. While most deliveries arrive as planned, a minority are experiencing delays where depots are unable to deal with the volume of parcel traffic they face.

To get the most out of our delivery services, there are several important ways you can stay informed about delivery progress and help deliveries arrive successfully.

Download the DPD App HERE, registering using the same mobile number and email that you have given to us as part of your account contact details. If you need to update existing details with DPD, this can be done via the App. If we don’t have your correct contact details click HERE to email us.

On the App upload pictures of your delivery entrance to help the driver easily locate you. Also, provide your What3Words location- further helping the driver get to your property. Search for your location HERE.

Set the options for delivery to a neighbour or safe place to allow delivery even if you are out when the driver calls. If you know you will not be in on a delivery day, consider rescheduling the delivery day in advance via the App.

Use the DPD Website to see the latest Service Updates for your area. Click HERE to view them now. You can also access help with delivery on the DPD website.

Finally, ensure someone can receive updates via email, text or App notification, so you know where parcels are and when they are due for delivery. This may include Saturdays (if you’ve selected a Saturday delivery) or a day you are normally closed.
